To provide a sportswear giant like Asics with fashion cred and inject every collection with newness and consistency is no easy feat, especially playing in the Milan league.
Yet Andrea Pompilio is slowly but steadily leaving his mark on Asics-owned Onitsuka Tiger by pushing its sportswear vocabulary toward new territories.
Depending on the season, he's embraced different directions to make sure there's more than performance gear and streetwear to buy into.
Casualwear was his spring destination, a word, he insisted backstage, that needs rehabilitation. After nodding to ‘90s minimalism and...

    Instagram perfect? Who needs it.
With an assist from Hollywood director Nicolas Winding Refn, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons showed a collection for the Be Real generation, giving fashion the creative jolt it needed this fall season.
Many of those in lockdown during COVID-19 could relate to the storyline, a dark twist on the domestic bliss that wasn't always that.

“We move from jealousy to anger, from high eroticism to the...

Dean and Dan Caten brought their surfboards along for the ride this season with this collection that was all about wave running and a never-ending summer. The designer brothers, who wake board and wake surf in Mykonos, layered lots of beachy pieces into this fresh, fun collection that came in a kaleidoscope of color.
It was a fitting follow-on from their fall 2022 collection, which was heavy on layering, too, and in line with the duo's spring men's offer.
“These are the sisters of the boys. He was a surfer, and so is she. The layers are light and there are filters, shadows and lots of...
