    Big was beautiful for Tamara Ralph and Michael Russo, the couturiers who chose Old Billingsgate, the former fish market, as the venue for their first rtw show. Usually, designers take over part of the sprawling space that overlooks the Thames, but that was never going to be enough for the duo, who count Jennifer Lawrence, Rihanna, Angelina Jolie, Beyonce - and many a sheikah - as clients and whose ambitions are to grow the business into the billions of pounds.

    Roberta Einer's rowdy pool of colored sequins, beads and prints telegraphed both character and cool.
    For spring, the Estonian-born designer looked to Californian skate culture of the Seventies and Eighties, when skinny boys in baggy shorts and long socks would show off their skills in drained pools, and girls lounged nearby under the sun.
    This translated into short skirts whose wavy hemlines were amplified via beaded sea-life motifs, graffiti and doodles, much like the ample bomber jackets - Einer's staple - composed of contrasting patches of fabric. Cue tartans, beads and leather...
